I am in a book club here. We are reading Eat, Pray, Love right now. Throughly enjoyed it. I would like to read this one too, the book looks really interesting. BTW, Patty, I am always on historical fiction jag! Love it!!! I bet we could make some great recommendations to one another. Ever read the Autobiography of Henry VIII by Margaret George? Ok, I'm off topic already :) So, we're to have it read by 4/5? I'd better get cracking!

Oh, wow. I never saw this until today. *sigh* Yes I did read Henry's tale. And many, many others. Plus many on Elizabeth I. I just love that time in history. My AA is in European history, my BA in Art History...

I found it on Half.com for a little $2.28 pluss $3.99 shipping. There were several other copies. My nearest book store is about hours away....

Nearest book store? Yikes. I forget you are in Montana..... ahhh, the long drives to the grocery store where you buy for a whole month instead of a few days or a week. Where people hunt animals not just for the sport of it but to put food on their table and where huckleberry picking is about knowing where they are and then keeping it a secret from everyone you know until you've picked all you can make in to jam. :-) Mmmmm......I love huckleberries.......

We head to the food store about once every three months for this fill up the back of the truck and then some shopping trip. There is a small grocery store in town but the prices are just wild. And we have the remains of a quarter bison and a doe in the freezer. My husband doesn't hunt but one of his firemen does and had a spare dead deer. Ugh - it was hanging in our yard for three days "draining." Good meat though.

I love half.com. I get a lot of my books there. Although when we DO go into Missoula I pile up what I have and take them to the exchange book store there and play trade. That is fun too!

I just reread my post. It was supposed to say 2 hours away. *sigh*

ugh! forgot to say that huckleberries are a small wild blueberry. Tarter, though.

OMG! My husband totally would never believe me about the shopping trips in to town or the dead deer needing to drain. LOL I just got a great laugh from your post and read it to my husband to prove to him that I was telling the truth. He never "really" believed me. Thanks for making my day!

Huckleberry Pie! yeah baby!!!

I might be interested. I love to read, but I do review books, so I am usually reading those and maybe only read one or two a month purely for pleasure.
